Birds Australia	The oldest conservation organisation in Australasia began life in 1901 as the Australasian Ornithologists Union but has since simplified the trading name to Birds Australia. BA exists to conserve Australia's native birds and their habitats by expanding scientific knowledge. To do this BA relies on the support of thousands of members and volunteers. BASQ	Birds Australia Southern Queensland is a regional group of BA. Members of BA in southern Queensland (see map) are automatically members. Join BA through the website, or ring 1300 730 075

Rules	Regional Groups of Birds Australia have all adopted Birds Australia's model rules.
Regional Groups	Regional Groups meet twice a year: before the Birds Australia AGM in May, and before the BA Council Meeting in November. For more information see the BA website.
