Birds Australia The oldest conservation organisation in Australasia began life in 1901 as the Australasian Ornithologists Union but has since simplified the trading name to Birds Australia. BA exists to conserve Australia's native birds and their habitats by expanding scientific knowledge. To do this BA relies on the support of thousands of members and volunteers. Rules Regional Groups of Birds Australia have all adopted Birds Australia's model rules.
